On December 24th, the Xinjiang Chang'an 750kV substation was completed and put into operation, marking it as China’s 100th 750kV substation and the fifth 750kV substation in which Dongfang Electronics has participated in its construction.

The Xinjiang Chang'an 750kV substation is a newly built facility under the Kuqa-Alar-Bachu 750kV power transmission and transformation project in Xinjiang. As a key initiative by the State Grid Corporation of China, it aims to support the high-quality development of southern Xinjiang, promote the clean and low-carbon transformation of energy, and advance the construction of a new power system demonstration zone in the region. Its completion and operation hold significant importance for optimizing the energy supply structure in southern Xinjiang and enhancing the regional power grid layout.
Upon its commissioning, the substation will increase the maximum power supply capacity of the southern Xinjiang grid by 500,000 to 1 million kilowatts, significantly improving the reliability of the regional power supply. It will further strengthen the power coordination between the main Northwest China grid and the southern Xinjiang grid, providing stable and reliable electricity support for industrial operations in border areas and meeting the residential electricity needs of local communities, thereby contributing to the sustained and healthy economic and social development of southern Xinjiang.
Currently, the 750kV power grid continues to be strengthened and upgraded, forming a robust backbone network that supports the stable operation of 14 ultra-high-voltage direct current transmission lines. It ensures the reliable integration of approximately 400 million kilowatts of new energy capacity, with its service scope expanding to remote areas such as deserts and the Gobi. This grid has become a critical guarantee for the "West-to-East Power Transmission" initiative and regional energy security.
Looking ahead, the company will continue to focus on the core demands of the power and energy sector, enhancing its capabilities in technology research, development, and project implementation. It will deepen its expertise in key areas such as ultra-high-voltage transmission and new energy, providing more specialized products and services to support China’s power grid construction, energy security, and regional high-quality development.
