Recently, a milestone breakthrough has been achieved in the national major science and technology infrastructure project—"High-Precision Ground-Based Time Service System"—led by the National Time Service Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dongfang Electronics Co., Ltd and Ruichuangda Company (belong to Dongfang Electronics Corporation) participated in and undertook the development tasks of the optical fiber time service operation control integrated management platform and terminals, providing technical support for the successful implementation of the project.

The project has successfully established a high-precision optical fiber time service system covering six main backbone links across the country, with a total length exceeding 10,000 kilometers. Tested by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, the system’s overall performance has reached internationally leading standards. As China’s only scientific research institution dedicated to fundamental and applied research in time-frequency science, the National Time Service Center bears the critical responsibility of generating, maintaining, and broadcasting the national standard time—"Beijing Time." Leveraging its strengths, Dongfang Electronics provided automation systems and equipment, ensuring the smooth progress of this national infrastructure mission. The successful application of this system will deliver high-precision and highly reliable time services to various industries in China, laying a solid foundation for building an independent, secure, and controllable national time-frequency system.
